研究院

医疗器械创新研究院(Institute for Innovative Medical Devices, iMED)是由中国科学技术大学苏州高等研究院与中国心血管医生创新俱乐部(CCI)联合发起的前沿创新研究中心,成立于2023年。目前,研究院由葛均波院士担任创始院长,其科研队伍以中国科学院院士、中国工程院院士、国家高层次人才、长江学者讲席教授、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者及中科院百人计划顶尖人才为核心,以海内外优秀青年博士为骨干力量,凝聚了一支拥有30位全职/双聘科研人员的高水平研究队伍,目前中心的人员规模已近200人。

iMED创新研究院坚持面向人民生命健康为宗旨,以国家重大战略需求为导向,依托中国科大智能医疗器械研究中心与苏州市医疗传感与器械重点实验室等平台,践行“From Doctors, By Engineers, For Patients”的医工交叉融合理念,为医疗器械领域培育具有国际化视野的领军型创新创业人才。研究院将充分发挥在医疗传感、穿戴器械、微纳制造等领域的长期技术积累,聚焦于智能器械、生命感知、生物芯片和生物制造等多个前沿科学方向,致力于研究创新医疗器械的共性核心关键技术,全力推进建设具有中国科大特色的新型人才培养基地。同时,联合清华大学、复旦大学、上海交通大学、上海理工大学等国内外知名高校学术研究平台以及复旦大学中山医院、四川大学华西医院、北京大学口腔医院、上海交通大学第九人民医院等国家级临床医学研究基地,推动产学研管医的全面合作与落地,构建科研-临床-产业的创新医疗器械开发闭环,打造我国具有自主知识产权的高端医疗器械产业生态系统,助力实现“健康中国2030”的宏伟目标。



The Institute for Innovative Medical Devices (iMED) is a cutting-edge interdisciplinary research center jointly established by the Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and the Center for Cardiovascular Innovation (CCI) in 2023. The research institute is currently directed by the Academician Junbo Ge, with the core research team comprised of Academicians from CAS and CAE, national high-level talents, Changjiang Scholars, national distinguished young scientist, and young talents with international perspectives. Since 2021, iMED has successfully recruited more than 30 full-time/part-time researcher scholars with nearly 200 graduate students and postdoc trainees.

With the 4Cs strategic blueprint of China, iMED establishes upon the USTC Center for Intelligent Medical Equipment and Devices and the Suzhou Key Laboratory of Medical Sensing and Devices, practices its collaborative and interdisciplinary moto of "From Doctors, By Engineers, For Patients", and aims to promote the well-being of Chinese people and cultivate the next-generation technology leaders in the field of medical devices. iMED, utilizing on its existing expertise in medical sensing, wearable devices and nanofabrication, working toward the biomedical frontier areas, including intelligent devices, biosensing, biochips, and bio-manufacturing. Collaborating with Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Sichuan University and Shanghai University of Technology, iMED is dedicated to cultivating medical-engineering collaborations, developing innovative medical devices, facilitating clinical translations, and establishing an interdisciplinary biomedical platform of open collaboration under the grand vision of "Healthy China 2030."
